10 of Our Fave Maxis to Turn Heads at NYFW

10 of Our Fave Maxis to Turn Heads at NYFW

New York Fashion Week is back this September 8-13 and we’re excited to see all the iconic looks, sets, and streetwear that the fashion event of the season will bring to the streets of NYC. Some fan-favorite brands will be returning from last year like Carolina Herrera, Michael Kors, Proenza Schouler, and some brands will be returning with whole new looks, like Helmut Lang which is now under the creative direction of designer Peter Do.

Regardless of the who, what, and where, we’ve compiled some of our favorite maxis from returning brands (and when their shows are) so that you can look good as you watch next season’s collections make their way down the runway.

Made from a versatile, perfect-for-fall velvet fabric, what we love most about this dress is its elegant scooped neckline.

A twist on a classic, this Barbie-pink dress is made from a multi-stretch tulle that is designed to look formal yet chic.

It’s never too early to get excited for sweater weather and this wool knit midi is bound to keep you warm through the cooler months. Our fav feature is the wide ¾ sleeves!

Chic florals are NOT limited to spring and this fitted, open-back maxi only proves that point with its dark hues and floral pattern.

Elegant and fit for British high society, this soft green printed dress is perfect for your next afternoon tea.

Sometimes you just want to keep it simple, and want to be practical. Well this midi dress is perfect for every occasion: date night, picking up the kids, morning meetings (in-person or over Zoom).

Unlike the previous option, sometimes you DO want to make a statement and this maxi is form-fitting, vibrant, and features a chic semi-turtleneck that is bound to turn heads.

We love the effortless chicness of this shirtdress. This pattern is ideal for anyone who isn’t sold on patterns but doesn’t want something boring either.

Summer isn’t over yet, and this maxi fits the quintessential ideal of Love Shack Fancy’s dreamy montage. With its flowing skirt, and simple design, you’ll find yourself returning to this piece again and again. Our tip? Pair with your fave cardigan for some Fall-style inspo.

Known for their risqué designs, Dion Lee is not for the faint hearted. But we love this faux snakeskin design dress in a creamy blue. But, if that’s not to your liking (and you’re thinking of trying something other than a maxi) don’t look any further than this Internal Corset Dress that screams business meets pleasure.
